Purísima Fair

The traditional Purísima de Segorbe fair, of Regional tourist interest, takes place on December 8 for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. A massive festive gathering that has a long tradition in the city and attracts people from all over the region and surrounding areas every year. It dates back to the 14th century (the last document found from the fair is dated May 4, 1346) from the granting of a privilege granted by King Peter IV the Ceremonious, which expanded the concession of an extraordinary market day that since the end of the 13th century granted by King James I.

The Purísima de Segorbe Fair is considered one of the most important celebrations held in the town, bringing together around 20,000 people throughout the holidays. It began as a livestock and agricultural fair in ancient times and is now one of the most anticipated events for Segorbinos and visitors. Where it covers around 400 stops of all kinds: food, textiles, footwear, crafts, decoration, books, sweets, toys, fair attractions, etc.

Although the 8th is the big day, during the next few days we will also be able to enjoy the fair and attractions.

This year 2024 the festive activity will be from November 29 to December 8.
