Arcs of Argen

Dating back to the 11th century, they are located in the oldest part of the wall, these semicircular arches are of Muslim origin and gave access to the albacar of Segorbe.

An albacar or albacara is a semi-protected enclosure next to the fortified gate of the medina or the citadel that served to provide shelter or store livestock, for example. When Pedro IV expanded the wall, the Muslim Albacar was integrated into the city.
