The Arch of Veronica

It owes its name to the fact that the arch retains inside the image of the Holy Face. The Arch of Veronica, beautifully crafted although small in proportions, is composed by a semi-circular arch with extraordinary long voussoirs, typical of Muslim construction. There are, however, divergences among historians about its time of completion: some attribute it Roman origins; others, medieval.
